About Strange Loop Press
Strange Loop Press was incorporated because human society requires you to put a company name on a book before they let you put it in a library. It is currently staffed entirely by Matthew Garvin, a cyborg anthropologist who used to study how astronauts make decisions alone in deep space. He left NASA and academia because the paperwork was getting ridiculous, so naturally, he founded a publishing company.
Our primary mission is to publish prototypes of futures you should probably say no to. We also publish field notes from inside systems most people only experience as weather—venture capital, surveillance infrastructure, and the quiet renegotiation of what humans are supposed to be for.
Currently, our only client is Mr. Garvin, who is writing speculative fiction about the absurdity of Silicon Valley. If he ever finishes his four drafts, we might consider taking submissions.
